ACTION THIS DAY

Florence Wanjiku

Florence is a Kenyan national who has worked with ACTION THIS DAY since its arrival in Kenya and has been personally involved in establishing the school. Florence serves on the Community Based Organisation that oversees the running of the school in the community and has previously worked with other NGO’s including at the AIDS orphanage, Tumaini.

Her strong sense of justice, her dedication to improving the lives of disadvantaged children, and her contacts in the NGO community have been invaluable in establishing our presence in Kenya.

Tito Onodera

Tito is an artist with a growing reputation in the local community here. From Bamburi, he has been an enthusiastic supporter of the school project and provided the artwork for the school sign and uniform badges. Tito has many long term contacts in the NGO community in Mombasa and is actively involved in supporting these organisations.

Tito will also help ACTION THIS DAY implement an arts program at the Kookkaburra Community School in 2012, designed to provide the students with skills applicable in the local economy.

Gachoki Rugoiyo

Gachoki is involved in also involved in the art community and through her mother’s long term involvement in education, is committed to helping provide education to disadvantaged children.
