ACTION THIS DAY

We could not achieve what we do without our existing supporters. We have relied upon a dedicated team of mostly individual donors to establish, support and develop the Kookaburra Community School since the charity began in mid-2009.

We could continue operating this way for the foreseeable future, but to achieve real sustainability for the project we need to reduce long-term dependence on foreign aid in the following way:

• Acquire a large injection of funds
  Acquire a large injection of funds from individuals, foundations and companies to supply the infrastructure that will remove many of the ongoing costs.
• Develop income generating schemes
  Develop income generating schemes that will directly benefit the school and its community by providing real and sustainable long term funding.
• Relying on our existing supporters
  Current operations will continue to rely on our existing supporters while the above sustainable solutions are being implemented.

At ACTION THIS DAY we consider this to be the true aim of our efforts, to deliver a self-sustaining educational and care facility to the local community, then take our supporters with us to other extremely poor communities with whom we can work to help change its future.
